Four men remain in custody after a man suffered a slash wound during a street fight in Sneinton.
Police were called to Trent Road, at the junction with Bleasby Street, just after 6.40pm on Thursday 30 April, following reports of several men fighting.
A machete was reportedly brandished during the incident and one man sustained a slash wound to his arm. His injuries are not believed to be life-altering.
No weapon was recovered, but officers quickly identified and detained a number of suspects at the scene.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Three other men, aged 20, 20 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
The 21-year-old suspect and one of the 20-year-old suspects were also arrested on suspicion of affray.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “While we’ve made four arrests in connection with this incident, we’re still trying to establish exactly what happened.
“On that note, we’d ask that anyone who witnessed this incident unfold contacts us to tell us what they saw.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who has any information they think could assist with our investigation.
“That includes any CCTV, dash-cam, phone, or doorbell footage that they may have inadvertently recorded.”
