Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man after an attempted theft at a cash machine.
While using a cash point in Waverley Street, the Arboretum, shortly after 1pm on 4 September, the victim was approached from the side by a suspect who attempted to snatch the withdrawn money.
The victim was left physically unharmed by the incident and shouted to alert others nearby, prompting the suspect to run off.
Officers are now seeking the public’s help to track down the man pictured as they believe he may be able to help them with their investigations.
PC Sarah Gooch, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This no doubt left the victim feeling scared and in shock but he thankfully was not injured and thanks to his quick thinking alerted other members of the public to what was happening.
“We would like to identify the man in these images as we believe he may have vital information that could help with our inquiries, so would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information or who recognises the man pictured is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 323 of 4 September 2022, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
