Man who died in A1 collision named by police

Nottinghamshire Police have named a 45-year-old man who died following a collision on the A1M as Farren Rawnsley.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called out to the A1 at Blyth at around 11.30pm on Tuesday (23 March 2021), following reports of a man being hit by a lorry.

Mr Rawnsley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Constable Sarah Stables from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We’d like to pass on our condolences to Mr Rawnsley’s family and friends at this difficult time”.

“We are not appealing for anyone else in relation to the incident and no arrests have been made.
