Police are appealing for information following two robberies in the Rushcliffe area.
Officers were called to The Griffin Plumtree, in Main Road, Plumtree, around 12.45pm on Monday (31 March) after a motorcycle was stolen by three masked offenders from outside the pub.
When the owner of the bike tried to intervene he reported being threatened with a hammer.
Investigations revealed the offenders arrived at the scene on another motorbike, which had been reported missing from a car park in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, on 29 March between 9.23pm and 11.23pm.
At 2.05pm on Monday officers received a further call to Hound Road, West Bridgford, where it was reported three people were attempting to steal a moped which was chained up.
The moped was later recovered nearby.
Police received a third call to Nottingham Knight Island at 2.17pm where a cyclist reported being threatened with a knife and forced to hand over his pushbike.
A short time later officers spotted a motorcycle in the area, being ridden by three people, and pursued it as far as The Meadows.
Detectives are investigating the incidents, which are believed to be linked, by analysing CCTV footage and carrying out other inquiries.
They also want to speak to anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage.
Detective Inspector Simon Harrison, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This will have been a frightening experience for both robbery victims and officers are working hard on the investigation while supporting them.
“We are also asking for the public’s help to piece together exactly what happened. Did you witness a group of youths riding one or more motorcycles in the West Bridgford or Meadows area on Monday?
“If so, you may be able to help with our inquiries so please get in touch without delay.”
Anyone who can assist should call 101, quoting incident number 358 of 31 March 2025, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
