‘Misleading’ Nottingham city bus gate camera traps 33,000 motorists who paid almost £1million in fines

The road layout was changed in 2020 to introduce a bus gate and 24-hour camera.

33,619 motorists have been fined £60 each for breaking the rules and travelling through the bus gate.

26,569 fines have been paid between September 2020 and January 2022 – these have raised £965,901 paid to Nottingham City Council.
