Motorbike passenger suffers head injuries in crash as driver flees the scene

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

A motorbike passenger has been left with head injuries after a crash where the biker fled the scene.

Police are investigating after the man was flung from the pillion following a crash at the junction of Brewsters Road and Ransom Road in St Ann’s at 3:25pm on Saturday 4 September 2021.

At this time no other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

It is believed the passenger, a 39-year-old man, was not wearing a helmet securely and hit his head on the floor after coming off the bike when the rider lost control, causing it to crash.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

“It is currently believed he was wearing an unsecured helmet which offered him no protection after he hit his head on the kerb.
