A motorcyclist who was stopped by police yesterday has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
Benjamin Usher, 28, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 14 May 2020.
Officers spotted a man riding a motorbike in the Radford area who appeared not to be wearing any protective equipment other than a helmet. They followed the bike before it came to a stop.
Following police checks the rider was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm in relation to an incident in Stapleford on 12 December 2019.
When he was searched the man was found to be in possession of a knife and he was subsequently arrested and charged in relation to this matter.
He was released under investigation in relation to the Stapleford incident.
