Pupils at Newark Academy, part of the Nova Education Trust, are celebrating an exceptional year of academic achievement, with a 100% pass rate across all A Level subjects.
This milestone reflects the unwavering dedication, resilience, and hard work of students, staff and families.
Among the many success stories, Newark Academy is especially proud to celebrate a student securing a place at the University of Cambridge to study Geography – marking the second Oxbridge placement in recent years.

This outstanding achievement not only reflects the individual’s dedication and talent but also highlights the school’s culture of high aspiration and academic excellence. It is a powerful example of what can be accomplished through ambition, expert teaching, and a supportive learning environment that encourages every student to aim high.

This year, more students than ever have applied for university places, with over 91% securing their first-choice destination, significantly above the national average of 79%. Over 35% of students achieved at least one A or A* grade, showcasing the depth of talent and ambition across the Sixth Form.

Vocational results were equally impressive, with students achieving an average grade of Distinction in subjects such as Sport, Health & Social Care, and Digital Media. These outcomes reflect Newark Academy’s inclusive curriculum and commitment to diverse pathways to success.

Whether pursuing university, apprenticeships, or entering the workforce, Newark Academy students are exceptionally well-prepared for the next stage of their journey. These achievements are a testament to the quality of teaching, strong guidance, and the inclusive ethos that defines the school.

Looking ahead, Newark Academy’s Sixth Form is set to grow significantly, with Year 12 enrolment doubling this September. To support this expansion, the school is unveiling a brand-new Sixth Form Common Room, designed to foster collaboration, study and wellbeing.
