Nine fire crews in attendance at Nottinghamshire building fire

The fire is at a derelict building in Worksop.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 8 am Sunday 19 February:

‘Fire crews from Retford are currently assisting with a derelict building fire on Sherwood Road, Worksop.

‘We currently have an Aerial Ladder Platform, hose reels, jets and monitors in use containing the fire.

‘Colleagues from Worksop Fire Station, Edwinstowe Fire Station, Warsop Fire Station, Harworth Fire Station, Mansfield Fire Station, Tuxford Fire Station, Stapleford Fire Station & Clowne Fire Station are all in attendance.”

“We ask people to avoid the area and close windows and doors if they see or smell smoke.”
