Nottingham City Transport service disruptions this week

These disruptions may affect your travel, so please check the relevant routes below.

 

Closure of Coleby Road, Strelley
5 January to 20 February
Affected Routes: 35, 77C, 78

Works are taking place on Coleby Road which will require diversions to the following services between 5th Jan and 20th Feb.

Orange 35 towards Bulwell will be normal route to Strelley ASDA, buses will then carry straight on Strelley Road, bearing left onto Broxtowe Lane and normal route

Orange 35 towards Bilborough and City will operate as normal along Broxtowe Lane, at the junction of Coleby Road buses will continue on Broxtowe Lane to normal route at Strelley ASDA.

Turquoise 77C towards Cinderhill will operate normal route to Denton Green where buses will then turn right onto Bradfield Road, left Broxtowe Lane and normal route.

Turquoise 77C towards City will operate as normal along Broxtowe Lane, at the junction of Coleby Road buses will continue on Broxtowe Lane, right onto Bradfield Road and left onto Westleigh Road and normal route.

Turquoise 78 towards City will operate normal route to Denton Green where buses will then turn right onto Bradfield Road, left Broxtowe Lane and right onto Sherborne Road to normal route.

Turquoise 78 towards Strelley will operate as normal along Sherborne Road, turning left onto Broxtowe Lane, right onto Bradfield Road and left onto Westleigh Road and normal route.

Closure of Private Road No. 1, Netherfield
5 January to 13 March
Affected Routes: 44A

Works are taking place on Private Road No.1 in Netherfield that require a diversion to Red 44A.

Between 5th January and 13th March, buses will divert as follows:

Red 44A towards Netherfield will be normal route within Colwick Industrial Estate, at the junction of Colwick Loop Road buses will turn right onto the the Loop Road and left into Victoria Road and normal route.

Red 44A towards City will be normal route to Dr Parks Corner, where buses will turn left onto Burton Road and right onto Colwick Loop Road and normal route.

Overnight Closures of QMC Roundabout
12 January to 16 January
Affected Routes: 34/C, 35/B, 36

Due to works taking place at the QMC Island, the Island will be closed between January 12th and 16th.

From 19:45 until the end of service each night, buses will be affected as follows:

Orange 34C towards University of Nottingham will divert after serving the stop named Faraday Road. Buses will turn left onto Gregory Street, right Abbey Street, onto Beeston Road and University Boulevard and right into the University Grounds via West Gate.

Orange 34C towards City be normal route to Dunkirk, buses will then continue onto Abbey Street, left Gregory Street and right Derby Road to resume normal route.

Orange 35 towards Bulwell will divert after serving the stop named Faraday Road. Buses will operate along Triumph Road, left Wollaton Road, onto Russell Drive and Trowell Road to Balloon Woods crossroads. Buses will then resume normal route from Bilborough Road.
**Service 35 towards Bulwell will not be able to serve Hillside or QMC Main Entrance. Please use the stop named Faraday Road.**

Orange 35 towards City will be normal route to Balloon Woods, buses will then turn left onto Trowell Road, onto Russell Drive, Wollaton Road, right Triumph Road, left Derby Road and normal route from the stop named Faraday Road.

Orange 36 towards Chilwell will divert after serving the stop named Faraday Road. Buses will turn left onto Gregory Street, right Abbey Street, onto Beeston Road and University Boulevard and left into Broadgate.
**Service 36 towards Chilwell will not be able to serve Hillside or QMC Main Entrance. Please use the stop named Faraday Road.**

Orange 36 towards City will be normal route to Broadgate, where buses will then turn right onto University Boulevard onto Beeston Road, buses will then continue onto Abbey Street, left Gregory Street and right Derby Road to resume normal route from the stop named Faraday Road.

No stops can be served on Woodside Road, Wollaton Vale or the A52 between Priory and QMC.
Additionally the stops named Uni East Entrance, QMC Main Entrance, QMC, Hillside and Triumph Road towards the City will also be missed.

Service 34, 35 and 36 towards UoN/Bulwell/Chilwell will also not be able to serve Hillside or QMC Main Entrance. Please use the stop named Faraday Road.

Closure of Bath Street and Beck Street
16 January to 18 January
Affected Routes: 39, 40/B/X, 41, 42

Closure of Linden Way, City Hospital Campus
8 December to 30 January
Affected Routes: 40/X

Linden Way will be closed to all traffic from start of service on Monday 8th December until approx. 20:00 on Friday 30th January 2026.

This will affect the Blue 40 and 40X.

Blue 40 to Edwards Lane Estate will follow normal route along South Road and will then continue along South Road to exit the City Hospital Campus through Gate 5. Buses will turn left on to Edwards Lane and resume normal route to Edwards Lane Estate.

Blue 40X to City Hospital will follow normal route to Edwards Lane, but continue further along Edwards Lane and enter the City Hospital through Gate 4 to resume normal route from the Radiotherapy named stop on North Road.

Blue 40 to City will follow normal route to Edwards Lane, but enter the City Hospital Campus through Gate 4, where they will resume normal route from the Radiotherapy named stop on North Road.

Blue 40X to City will resume normal route from the Radiotherapy named stop on North Road.
