Nottinghamshire traffic and travel updates Tuesday 11 August

There are no major issues this morning on road and rail routes, but some trams are not running early services.

Trams

At 6 am these trams are reported as not running:

08:15, 09:00 from Hucknall
07:08, 07:53 from Toton
07:48, 08:18 from Phoenix
07:22, 08:37 from Clifton

NET says it is now running a regular service to all stops this morning. That means the major summer works between Wilkinson Street and The Forest, which were due to finish on Sunday 9 August, are no longer the main issue for passengers.

Roads

No major new closure or serious incident has been identified on the main Nottinghamshire routes in this check, including the M1, A1, A46 and A52.

Drivers should still expect the usual build-up into Nottingham on routes including the A52, A453, A610, Clifton Boulevard and routes around QMC.

Rail

East Midlands Railway passengers should continue to check before travelling. EMR’s strike information page confirms further RMT strike action on Saturday 15 August, when trains to and from London St Pancras will run to a significantly reduced timetable, starting after 07:00 and finishing before 19:00.

There are also planned engineering changes this week, including an amended 06:49 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwichservice from Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 August. Buses are due to replace trains between Sheffield and Nottingham on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August.

Buses

No major network-wide bus disruption has been identified, but local roadworks remain active. Nottingham City Transport’s service updates include continuing disruption linked to Melton Road roadworks, affecting Green 7, with stops at Firs Road closed and temporary stops in use.
