Nottinghamshire weather: 50 mph winds at rush hour on Monday

The Met Office forecast for rush hour on Monday 21 February shows high winds throughout the morning.

The forecast shows wind gusts of up to 51 mph by 8 am tomorrow morning – and it doesn’t fall below around 40 mph until mid-afternoon when rain stops and sunshine appears.

A cloudy and very windy start, with showery outbreaks of rain, and perhaps some snow over the Peak District. Becoming drier and brighter from mid-morning, with winds gradually easing. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Cloudy with rain Tuesday morning, showery later. Rather cloudy Wednesday, but mostly dry. Heavy rain overnight, then cold with wintry showers Thursday. Prolonged periods of strong winds throughout.
