Sunday February 1 is expected to be a wet and increasingly unsettled day across Nottinghamshire.
Early morning
The day will begin cloudy and largely dry, with only a small chance of light rain early on. Rain probabilities range from around 20 to 40 per cent through the morning. Temperatures will start at around 4°C to 5°C, rising slowly. Winds will be light from the south at around 4 mph, giving a cool but calm start.
Midday
By late morning and into midday, rain will become more frequent and widespread. Rain probabilities increase to around 50 to 60 per cent by midday. Temperatures will rise to around 7°C to 8°C. Winds will remain light, mainly southerly at 4 to 5 mph, but conditions will feel damp under persistent cloud.
Afternoon
The afternoon will be wet, with periods of steady rain developing and becoming heavier at times. Rain chances increase further to between 70 and 90 per cent through the afternoon. Temperatures will peak at around 9°C. Winds will remain light to moderate from the south to south-south-east, offering little relief from the unsettled conditions.
Evening
During the evening, rain will continue, though it may begin to ease slightly later in the night. Rain probabilities remain high, between 80 and 95 per cent early in the evening before slowly reducing. Temperatures will gradually fall from around 8°C to 6°C. Winds will remain light from the south-east to north-north-east, bringing a damp and rather gloomy end to the day.
