Thursday 30 July is forecast to be mostly dry and warm, with sunny spells and some cloud through the day. Temperatures are expected to reach around 24C by late afternoon, before turning cooler and clearer during the evening.

Early morning

Thursday will begin mild and mostly dry, with sunny intervals and some cloud. Temperatures are expected to be around 17C at 5am, 6am and 7am, rising to 18C by 8am.

Winds will come from the west-south-west and west at around 5mph, with gusts between around 12mph and 16mph.

Visibility will be very good, while humidity will be fairly high early on, around 83% at 5am and 6am, easing to 72% by 8am. The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will be warm but cloudier at times, with a small chance of rain developing.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 20C at 10am to 21C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be around 19C to 21C.

The chance of rain increases to around 10% at 10am, then 20% from 11am to 1pm. Winds will remain from the west at around 5mph to 7mph, with gusts increasing to around 20mph to 21mph.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will fall from around 61% at 10am to 55% by midday. UV levels will rise to moderate levels, reaching around 5 at midday.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to stay mainly dry and warm, with sunny intervals and some cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to reach around 22C at 1pm, 23C at 2pm and 3pm, and 24C by 4pm and 5pm. The “feels like” temperature will be slightly lower at times, around 21C to 22C.

The chance of rain is around 20% at 1pm, falling to 10% through the rest of the afternoon. Winds will come from the west or west-north-west at around 7mph to 8mph, with gusts increasing to around 25mph by late afternoon.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will fall to around 40% by late afternoon. UV levels will be moderate, reaching around 6 early in the afternoon before easing later.

Evening

The evening will turn cooler and mostly clear, with sunny spells at first before clear skies later.

Temperatures are expected to fall from around 22C at 6pm to 21C by 7pm and 19C by 8pm. It will become cooler later, dropping to 18C by 9pm, 17C by 10pm and 16C by 11pm.

The chance of rain falls below 5% from 6pm onwards. Winds will come mainly from the west-north-west and north-west, at around 5mph to 9mph. Gusts will ease from around 25mph early in the evening to around 10mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise gradually from around 40% early in the evening to 54% by 11pm.
