Wednesday will start cold and murky across Nottinghamshire, with patches of mist and low cloud lingering through the early morning.
Temperatures around dawn will sit close to 1–2°C, with a slight frost in places, particularly in sheltered spots. There is a small chance of light drizzle early on, but rainfall amounts will be minimal.
As the morning progresses, mist should gradually lift, leaving a largely dry and cloudy start to the day. By mid-morning temperatures will rise slowly to around 4–5°C, with light easterly winds keeping it feeling chilly.
Through late morning and early afternoon, conditions improve slightly. Cloud will break at times, allowing brighter spells to develop, especially into the afternoon. Temperatures will peak at around 8°C, making it the mildest part of the day, and the risk of rain remains very low.
During the late afternoon and evening, cloud will increase again, but it will stay dry for most areas. Temperatures will ease back to around 6–7°C by early evening, falling to 3–4°C later at night. Winds will remain light to moderate from the east or east-north-east, so any mist may begin to redevelop after dark.
