Nottinghamshire weather for Wednesday 8 July

Wednesday 8 May is expected to be a very warm and largely dry day, with sunny spells through the morning before temperatures climb close to 30C during the afternoon and early evening.

Rain is unlikely throughout the day, with the chance of precipitation staying below 5%.

Early morning

The day will begin mild and dry, with sunny intervals from around 5am. Temperatures are forecast to be around 17C at 5am, rising gradually to 18C by 6am and 19C by 7am.

Winds will be light from the west at around 3mph, with gusts between 10mph and 12mph. Visibility is expected to be very good, while humidity will start relatively high, at around 78% at 5am, slowly easing through the early part of the morning.

Midday

Conditions will stay dry through the late morning and into lunchtime, with sunny intervals continuing. Temperatures are expected to rise quickly, reaching 23C by 10am, 25C by 11am and around 26C by midday.

The chance of rain remains below 5%. Winds will continue from the west at around 3mph, with gusts around 13mph. Humidity will fall steadily, reaching around 53% by midday, and visibility will remain very good.

UV levels will become high around the middle of the day, rising to 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection may be needed for anyone spending time outdoors.

Afternoon

The afternoon is forecast to be hot, dry and sunny. Temperatures are expected to reach 27C by 1pm, 28C by 2pm and 29C by 3pm, with the “feels like” temperature reaching around 30C.

Sunshine is expected to become more dominant by mid-afternoon, and the chance of rain remains below 5%. Winds will stay light, mainly from the west or west-north-west at around 3mph to 4mph, with gusts up to around 16mph.

Humidity will continue to fall, dropping to around 39% by 3pm. UV levels will remain moderate to high during the afternoon, with values around 7 early in the afternoon before easing later.

Evening

The evening will stay very warm and dry, with sunny conditions continuing into the early evening before clear spells develop after sunset.

Temperatures are expected to remain around 30C at 5pm and 6pm, before easing slightly to 29C by 8pm. By 9pm, temperatures should fall to around 27C, then 25C by 10pm and 23C by 11pm.

Winds will remain light, turning from west-north-west to north, north-east and east-north-east later in the evening, generally around 3mph to 5mph. Gusts are forecast to stay modest, between around 10mph and 14mph.

Visibility will remain very good, and humidity will rise later in the evening from around 36% to 58%. Rain is not expected.
