Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash.
Emergency services were called to Derby Road, Nottingham, close to the Savoy Cinema, around 6.25pm yesterday (6 November) following reports of a collision between a car and a man aged in his 20s.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 22-year-old car driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs. He remains in custody.
Officers want to hear from anyone with information or dashcam footage which could assist their ongoing investigation.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“This collision occurred on a major stretch of road at a busy time of the day.
“We believe there will be a number of witnesses who may have seen the vehicle involved, a white BMW, or the pedestrian who was injured in the moments before the incident.
“If you can help, and have not yet spoken to an officer, please get in touch without delay.
“Likewise, any drivers who were in the area around this time should please get in touch if they have any relevant dashcam footage which could assist.”
Anyone who can help should call police on 101, quoting incident 617 of 6 November 2025, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
