A brand new café operated by Nottingham’s Romano’s ice cream has opened.
The cafe has had a full refurbishment and occupies a lovely space just past the suspension bridge by Victoria Embankment Park and the bandstand.
Still to be confirmed, the cafe could be called 1881 Cafe.

The last time the premises operated as a café was some years ago when Bean by the River operated there.

The cafe is bright and clean inside and looks great.
Nottingham’s well-known ice cream brand, Romano’s operates the site, and ice-cream is definitely on the menu as various signs make clear!

Proper barista coffee and various cakes are on display.
The cafe will also start to serve hot food options soon too.
The seating area outside looks good and will no doubt attract many people walking along the River Trent especially on sunny days.
