Police dog tracks down suspect after woman’s harassment report

A suspect was tracked down and arrested with the help of a police dog.
Our officers were called to an address on Bidford Road, Broxtowe, shortly before 2 am on Monday 20 April after a woman reported being harassed by a man known to her.

PD Seth and his handler were deployed to the area, where they located an empty car linked to the suspect.

Seth, who recently found another suspect hiding in a wheelie bin, soon picked up a scent and led his handler on a determined five-minute track through the local area.

The suspect was eventually found near parked vehicles and wisely gave himself up.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment and making threats to kill.

“He truly is an exceptional dog and has formed a formidable partnership with his handler.
“Together, they really are an outstanding team.”
