Nottinghamshire Police’s City South Op Reacher team were out on the off-road bikes in the Clifton area earlier this week following community concerns.
The move comes after a clamp down on off road bikes in the area following a serious collision in 11 October, which saw two men hospitalised.
Local neighbourhood and Operation Reacher officers have been supporting the investigation and are involved on an ongoing basis in tackling anti-social riding on the Clifton estate.
Officers also made three arrests during the course of the operation.
One man aged 50 were arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order, meanwhile a 40-year-old man was arrested for failing to appear at court in relation to offences of being concerned in supplying drugs and drink driving.
A 48-year-old man was also arrested for failing to appear in court in relation to an offence of criminal damage.
There was also a vulnerable missing person located and safely located during the course of the day.
City South Op Reacher Sergeant Tim Register said: “We’ve had a number of calls from the local community in relation to a group of people riding off-road motorbikes across the Clifton estate and causing ongoing antisocial behaviour and dangerous riding.
“We feel it’s important we respond to residents’ concerns and we continue to have a physical presence out in Clifton.
“Unfortunately this time we didn’t come across any nuisance or dangerous bikes, so we weren’t able to make any bike seizures or any arrests.
“However we did make two arrests whilst we were out and about, so this was excellent work by Reacher officers. Both men remain in police custody.
“We will be continuing the Operation and listening to residents, so please do keep contacting us via our email and let us know how we can help.”
