Police release image after knife produced in fight at a Nottingham takeaway

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace after a fight broke out in a takeaway and a knife was produced.

The incident happened on Monday 1 April at around 4.16 pm at Dixy Chicken in Alfreton Road.

Two groups of teenagers were involved in an altercation where one teenager produced a knife. No one was injured.

Detectives have launched an investigation and spoken to a number of key witnesses as well as examining CCTV footage.

Detective Sergeant James Hirst, who is investigating the incident, said:

“Luckily no one was seriously hurt in this incident.

“However, we are treating this incident extremely seriously and are determined to find the person who felt it necessary to not only arm themselves with a dangerous weapon but also produce it in order to provoke fear and intimidation.

“We have released some images of a man that could help us further our investigation and appealing to the public’s help in identifying him.

“Do you know the man in the pictures? Are you the man in the pictures? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
