A man wanted in connection with a string of aggravated burglaries in Nottingham has been arrested after extensive police inquiries.
Last night (Wednesday 10 April 2024) officers attended and searched an address in Sheffield.
A 50-year-old man, wanted by Nottinghamshire Police for a series of offences committed between 10 January 2024 and 29 March 2024, was detained and is now in custody.
These offences, which happened across Nottingham, included a man forcing his way into properties and stealing valuables from elderly and vulnerable people. In some of these offences, victims had been threatened with a knife.
The arrest comes after an urgent Crimestoppers appeal was issued to find a suspect in connection with the offences.
He has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, robbery, and theft offences.
Detective Sergeant Alana Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We now have a man in custody being questioned thanks to a great police team effort to track down a suspect in connection with a series of serious incidents.
“Our investigation remains ongoing.”
