Officers are trying to trace 31-year-old Matthew Smedley who is wanted for an alleged assault and breaching his court bail conditions.
Smedley, who is a prolific offender, is known to have links to Ashfield and Shirebrook.
Members of the public are requested to call 999 immediately if he is seen.

Sergeant Rebecca Jepson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are appealing for the public to help us locate this individual.
“If you have seen Smedley and have any information on his whereabouts or any vehicle to which he may have access please call us immediately.
“Please do not approach him. Information on his whereabouts can also be given via Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
