A suspect has been arrested after a man was found with serious injuries in Nottingham.
Police were called to Alfred Street North, St Ann’s, shortly before 9pm on the evening of Monday 17 June following a report of an assault.
A male victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody.
A scene is in place while investigation work is carried out.
Chief Inspector David Mather, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our investigation is at an early stage but we do believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk posed to the public.
“We understand an incident like this can cause concern to the community, but I want to personally reassure the public that we do have a suspect in custody and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
