Storm Gerrit caused a tree to fall in Radcliffe on Trent in the early hours of this morning 28 December.
The large Copper Beech tree in a resident’s garden was taken down by high winds at around 4:45 am this morning in Cropwell Road in Radcliffe on Trent.
A witness said that the fallen tree was hit by a car travelling down the hill.
The driver escaped with no injuries.
The neighbouring golf club and course are closed while a clean up is arranged.
