Following the official closure of Ratcliffe Power Station, the site is being decommissioned which will be followed by demolition by the end of the decade.
Police in Rushcliffe said:
‘Engineering and security staff are still on site 24 hours a day while work to decommission and remove equipment from the site takes place.
‘The site is still subject of vehicle movements and the train line remains active.
‘The adjacent passenger train line to the East Midlands Parkway station is still in constant use.
‘People trespassing on railways lines or enclosed premises commit offences for which they could be arrested and prosecuted.
‘People wishing to photograph this site are reminded to do so from the public areas around the site and not to place themselves or others in danger to do so.
‘If anyone is attempting to enter the site for any other purpose in doing so you place yourself and the staff on site in danger and could be subject to arrest.’
