A temporary road closure and traffic restrictions will be in place on Cotgrave Road between Normanton on the Wolds and Plumtree next month to allow gas mains replacement works to take place.
The works, being carried out by Cadent, will see Cotgrave Road in Normanton on the Wolds closed between its junction with Melton Road and Clipston Lane. A short section of Cotgrave Road in Plumtree, extending around 50 metres south-west from the Melton Road junction, will also be affected.
The restrictions will begin at 7am on Wednesday 4 March and are scheduled to remain in place until 6pm on Tuesday 24 March 2026. The road closure and temporary traffic signals will operate 24 hours a day throughout the duration of the works.
Temporary two-way traffic signals will also be installed on the A606 Melton Road at its junction with Cotgrave Road.
Signed diversion routes will be in place via Cotgrave Road, Cotgrave Lane, Tollerton Lane and the A606 for traffic travelling through Normanton on the Wolds, while an alternative diversion for Plumtree traffic will operate via Cotgrave Road, Old Melton Road and the A606.
Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time and follow signed diversion routes while the works are underway.
