Students and staff at Rushcliffe Spencer Academy are once again celebrating an outstanding set of A Level results.
In a year where national outcomes remain challenging, the achievements of Rushcliffe students are particularly impressive and a testament to their resilience and hard work.
Over a third of all grades awarded were A*-A, with nearly 70% awarded at Grades A*-B. Nearly 40 students achieved straight A* and A grades, and the Academy has been proud to celebrate with them and their families today.

Among the many individual successes the Academy has celebrated today are Daisy Burnip, who will be reading History and Elisabeth Snell, reading Computing, both at the University of Cambridge. Other notable results include Harry Cox A*A*A*A, Khushi Gohil and Aaron Bouri who both achieved A* A* A* and Charlotte Hazelden, who achieved an incredible A* A* A* A and plans to study Engineering at the University of Durham.

Students have achieved incredible success with vocational courses. Matilda Gibson achieved 2 Distinction grades and is hoping to study nursing in Sheffield, and Matthew Gibson achieved Distinction, BB and will be applying for Apprenticeships in Primary Education.

The team are especially proud of the students who joined Rushcliffe from other schools and colleges, many of whom have gone on to achieve exceptional results. These include Emily Webster who achieved A*A*A*A and will continue her studies at the University of Nottingham reading Zoology and Abdullah Hannan who achieved AAAB and will join Aston University to study Medicine. The ability of the Academy’s new students to integrate quickly and thrive academically is a credit to their determination and the inclusive, supportive environment recognised in the Academy’s recent Ofsted report where the sixth form was graded as “Outstanding”.

Ben Roberts, Head of Sixth Form, commented: “It has been a privilege to support this exceptional group of young people. Their achievements reflect not only their academic ability but also their character, determination, and the support of their families and our dedicated staff.”
Sarah Sismey, Head of School, added: “We are incredibly proud of all our students. Whether they are heading to university, apprenticeships, or employment, they leave us as confident, capable individuals ready to make a positive impact in the world.”
Executive Principal, Graeme Smith, said: “Rushcliffe Sixth Form continues to be a place where students are encouraged to go beyond the academic — to explore, question, and grow. These results reflect that ethos, summed up in our core purpose, which is that everyone is given the chance to shine brightly.”
