Rushcliffe MP Ruth Edwards has reacted to the news of the Prime Minister’s resignation today 20 October 2022.
The Prime Minister stood down today as she delivered a statement outside 10 Downing Street.
Ruth Edwards MP told The Wire:
‘The economic and political mistakes made by Liz Truss over the past few weeks, and the way she broke faith with MPs last night, made it impossible for her to continue as Prime Minister.
‘She has done the right thing by resigning and I commend her for that.
