After heavy rain today Sunday 13 August, the sewage leak on the Avenue in West Bridgford we reported last week is back.
On Thursday 10 August the leak was reported to Severn Trent Water who said:
“We have just been informed of potential flooding in Central Avenue and are sending a team out to investigate right away.”
The following day the area had dried up.
One resident who doesn’t wish to be named contacted the Wire to say the leak had actually been reported several days earlier too on 8 August.
The leak can be seen in the images which were take at 3 pm on Sunday 13 August, as before there is also a foul smell – vehicles and buses continue to drive through the Avenue unaware of the incident, and causing splashes – so take care in the area.
We’ve contacted STW again today to ask for an update.
