Derbyshire Police shared images of the diesel engine they were supporting.
A spokesperson said:
‘When you get to play trains on a sunny day.
‘This abnormal load moved from Wirksworth yesterday.
‘One of the specialist roles we carry out across the county.’
D9537 was built in 1965 at the British Railway’s Swindon Works.
Work for the Class 14 was shunting duties as well as pulling short-distance freight trains.
This ‘Teddy Bear’ (the nickname for the Class 14s by enthusiasts apparently ) arrived at the East Lancashire Railway in 2013 and returned to service in 2014.
The locomotive visits various heritage railway groups across the UK.

An ‘abnormal load’ is a vehicle that has any of the following:
a weight of more than 44,000kg
an axle load of more than 10,000kg for a single non-driving axle and 11,500kg for a single driving axle
a width of more than 2.9 metres
a rigid length of more than 18.65 metres
