D9537 was built in 1965 at the British Railway’s Swindon Works.

Work for the Class 14 was shunting duties as well as pulling short-distance freight trains.

This ‘Teddy Bear’ (the nickname for the Class 14s by enthusiasts apparently ) arrived at the East Lancashire Railway in 2013 and returned to service in 2014.

The locomotive visits various heritage railway groups across the UK.
