Reminder for anyone planning to attend either the Nottingham Carnival or Forest’s opening match of the 2025/26 season on Sunday (17 August) – roads are expected to be busy.
Nottingham City Council said:
‘Both events fall in the afternoon with the carnival based on Victoria Embankment, just along the river from the City Ground. Kick-off for the Reds’ clash with Brentford is at 2pm – the same time that the carnival parade starts.
‘Local roads are likely to be busy as a result and so visitors and supporters are encouraged to consider using public transport where possible.’
