Detectives investigating a series of burglaries in Woodthorpe have charged a suspect.
Three properties in the area were reportedly burgled during the early hours of Tuesday (22 July).
Neighbouring houses in Grange Road and a further address in Breck Hill Road were all targeted.
After receiving calls about the break-ins, response officers managed to detain a suspect shortly afterwards.
A knife, gloves and tools were also recovered by police while making the arrest.
Further inquiries by the Gedling neighbourhood team later resulted in the trio of break-ins being linked to another one days earlier.
That burglary took place on 19 July at a house in Worcester Road, Woodthorpe.
Suspect Jason Lane was subsequently charged with four burglaries, possessing a knife in public, and going equipped for theft.
The 48-year-old attended Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (23 July), where he was remanded into custody.
Lane, of Montague Road, Hucknall, is next due to appear before Nottingham Crown Court on 20 August.
Detective Sergeant Elina Falcon, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Multiple policing teams played a role in us identifying a suspect and charging them with these offences.
“Burglary is a horrible crime that can leave a lasting impact on anyone whose property is targeted.
“Bearing this in mind, it’s incredibly important that we treat all reports of this nature seriously and give victims the support they deserve.”
