A suspected drug dealer was arrested inside Nottingham’s The Cornerhouse complex after being chased down by officers.
A patrolling response officer asked an e-bike rider to stop in Forman Street after suspecting he had just completed a drug deal.
The rider jumped off the bike and pushed it towards the officer before running into the leisure complex.
Officers chased after him and arrested him on the first floor of the leisure complex.
The 22-year-old was searched and officers found quantities of Class A and B drugs, along with two mobile phones and cash.

Following the arrest at 8.10pm on Sunday (5 April), the suspect was taken into custody for questioning, and bailed pending further investigation.
As part of those enquiries, officers attended an address in Argyle Court, Radford, later the same evening, and arrested three further suspects – a 45-year-old man and two boys aged 16 and 17 – on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
They have also since been bailed with conditions.
PC Ben Cunningham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Drug offences can often be seen as victimless crimes, but that cannot be further from the truth, as those who supply controlled drugs cause untold harm to vulnerable people and bring misery to local communities.
“That is why we will always stop and search individuals we suspect of selling drugs, and why we remain vigilant on patrol.
“Tackling drug-related crime is a key priority for us, and these arrests show we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure the city centre is a safe place to live, work and visit.”
