On Saturday 20 May Nottingham city centre police arrested a 17-year-old girl on suspicion of damaging an exit barrier at a car park operated by the Victoria Centre in York Street, Nottingham.
The suspect was charged with criminal damage and using racially aggravated words or behaviour with intent to cause another person harassment, alarm or distress.
She is due to appear at Nottingham Youth Court at a later date.
Sergeant Rich Tiernan, of the Nottingham City Centre neighbourhood policing team, said: “Policing is about teamwork and these arrests were great examples of us working in partnership with local businesses to tackle criminal activity in the city centre.
“We are fortunate to have strong partnerships and we will continue to work all year round to make the city an even safer place to live, work and visit.”
