A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a report of racially aggravated assault.
Officers were called to Belconnen Road at around 12.30 pm on 1 April after a report that a boy had been racially abusive and assaulted two men. The men were not injured in the incident.
When Nottinghamshire Police arrived, the boy fled the scene.
He was found the next day at an address in Lincolnshire and officers arrested him on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault.
Inspector Christine Busuttil, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We do not tolerate racism in our city or county and we will investigate all reports made to us.
“We are committed to protecting and serving our communities and we will ensure that those responsible for threatening the safety of our residents are brought to justice.”
The boy has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
