To help them with their investigation, officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident in the gym to contact them.

PC Aaron Harthill-Harrison, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Violent behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated.

“This incident has caused the victim to lose confidence in going to the gym. Everyone deserves to feel safe when exercising, not to feel apprehensive of other’s actions.”

Anyone who has any information which could help police trace the man responsible is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting crime occurrence 26000288439, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
