Two suspects have been arrested after a fight in a Sneinton shop left one person with slash wounds.
Officers attended Sneinton Dale following reports of disorder inside a supermarket, around 4.30pm on Wednesday (26 August).
Two people were involved in a fight there, during which a man reportedly picked up a pair of scissors and slashed a teenager with them.
The injuries sustained by the 14-year-old boy aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and affray, while the 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“While thankfully nobody sustained serious injuries in this incident, it will have no doubt been very alarming to anyone who witnessed it.
“Our understanding is that a pair of scissors were used in the fight between two people, both of whom know each other.
“As such, we’re confident that this was very much an isolated incident.
“While we’ve made two arrests in connection with this, our inquiries are still very much ongoing, so we’d ask anyone with information to please share it with the police by calling 101, quoting incident 433 of 26 August 2026.
