Following last year’s successful Sleep Out, West Bridgford Colts are again bedding down in support of the Friary in December.
On 20 December, a group of Colts alumni (now 1st and 2nd year University Students) will spend the night under the stars at a location not far from where the Friary operates.
Craig Jones has again organised the event and is pleased that there is an opportunity to build on the success of last year when £2,000 was raised.
Craig said:
‘In line with West Bridgford Colts continued support of the Friary, I am delighted that we are sleeping out again this Christmas and hope that we can raise a significant sum to help the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.’
Friary CEO Ben Talbot is also thrilled with the fund raising efforts. He says
‘After the amazing fundraising efforts of the Colts last year, we think it is fantastic that the group are going to support us again.
‘I understand that it is a tougher challenge this year as it will be taking place on a concrete floor rather than the football pitch the team slept on last year.
‘The Friary, like many other charities, faces challenging times.
‘The cost to run our Centre has increased due to rising energy costs alongside increased demand for our services.
