A person was rescued from Moorgreen Reservoir in Broxtowe over the weekend.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘At 2:36 pm on Sunday 15 February, fire crews from Eastwood,Stockhill Fire Station and Highfields Fire Station were mobilised to reports of a person in difficulty in the water at Moorgreen Reservoir.
‘On arrival, crews quickly located the individual and carried out a successful rescue using a throwline.
‘First aid was administered by firefighters on-scene before the casualty was handed over to our colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS).
‘The what3words app was instrumental in this incident, allowing us to establish the casualty’s exact location and reach them swiftly. We urge everyone to download the app it can make all the difference in an emergency.’
