A tree has been uprooted by Storm Franklin.
The tree came down onto a parked vehicle in Eton Road West Bridgford this afternoon ( Sunday 20 February )
The area has seen 50 mph gusts today after the Met Office named Storm Franklin today.
The rest of the afternoon and evening should see heavy rain clearing southeastwards through the early evening.
Wind speeds are forecast to be 42 mph at 7 pm reducing to 39 mph by midnight – but increase again to 50 mph by tomorrow morning at 8 am.
Clear spells and blustery showers follow overnight. These will be wintry in places, particularly across the Peak District.
