Two arrests after man left with broken jaw in Forest Recreation Ground attack

Two men have been arrested after a man suffered a suspected broken nose and jaw having been attacked the Forest Recreation Ground.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police attended the ground off Arthur Street at around 6.30 pm yesterday (Friday 11 September) after receiving a report that a man had been set up upon by two others.

They arrested two 30 year old men at the scene who remain in custody.

Detective Seargent Nick Wood said: “This level of violence will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire and we treat these incidents with the utmost severity.

“The victim has suffered a nasty facial injury and is now being treated in hospital.

“We continue carrying out our enquiries and welcome anyone with any information that could help to call us on 101.”
