Two charged after jewellery and cash stolen in burglary

Detectives investigating a burglary have charged two suspects and put them before the courts.

Officers were called to a house in Alfreton Road, Radford, on Saturday (16 July), following reports of a break-in.

Electronic devices, jewellery and cash are all alleged to have been taken, while a door at the property was also damaged.

The incident is understood to have happened earlier that day at around 12.30pm before later being reported to the police.

A 45-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman have both since been charged with burglary.

The suspects, both of no fixed address, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22 July.

They have been remanded in custody and are next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 19 August 2022.
