Two men have appeared in court after police seized Class A drugs and suspected drug money when they carried out coordinated raids.
Officers executed warrants at homes in Ellerby Avenue and Farnborough Road, Clifton, Nottingham, on Monday (17 June).
They found cocaine, a taser and equipment associated with drug dealing inside the Ellerby Avenue property and large amounts of cash at the Farnborough Road address.
Two men were arrested after they were detained inside the properties.
Liam Kennerdale, aged 39, of Dovenby Road, Nottingham, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, and possession of criminal property.
Thirty-one-year-old Ryan Selwood, of Ellerby Avenue, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, possession of criminal property and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Both appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (18 June) and were remanded in custody until 16 July 2024 when they will appear at Nottingham Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Officers carried out this series of warrants as we continue our efforts to disrupt the illegal drugs trade.
“It is always good news when positive police action like this results in the seizure and destruction of Class A drugs.
“These substances continue to destroy lives and frequently have a knock-on effect leading to further criminality and violence in our communities.”
