Nottingham University Hospitals announced the sad news on Thursday 7 May.
Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further two patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.
“Regrettably, that means that 230 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”
“The patients were aged 83 and 84, and died on the 5th and 6th of May respectively.”
“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
