The A453 in Nottinghamshire is closed southbound between the A52 and M1/A50 due to a serious collision.

UPDATE – The A453 is still currently closed southbound between the A52 and the M1 A50 near Wilford/Nottingham due to serious collision.
Emergency services including Nottinghamshire Police are currently on scene.
The road is closed due to serious crash, a motorcycle involved on A453 Ashby Road Westbound from Green Street to M1 J24 (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport).
The road has been closed since around 05:00 Wednesday morning.
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the solid diamond diversion symbol on road signs
- From the A453 Mill Hill roundabout turn around and travel back North East to A453 Clifton Interchange.
- Follow free flow lane onto the A52.
- Continue along the A52 until you reach the Queens Medical Centre Island
- Exit the A52 onto the slip road for the roundabout and take the first exit on to the A52
- Continue on the A52, travelling over Priory, Bramcote, and Bardmills roundabouts, until you reach the exit to the M1 junction 25.
- Exit the A52 and join the M1 southbound until junction 24.
