Police in Lincolnshire are dealing with a lorry that has overturned shedding 12 tonnes of empty pallets.

The A52 is closed in both directions between the A1 (Barrowby) and the A46 (Saxondale) to allow for an overturned lorry to be recovered.
Lincolnshire Police are in attendance, alongside National Highways Traffic Officers who are providing assistance with traffic management.
The lorry has come to rest on its side in a ditch, and as such recovery may take some time.
Diversion Route
Eastbound diversion route not symbol led.
From the A52 (Saxondale Island) take the exit onto the A46 and continue north until the roundabout with the A1/A17.
At the roundabout take the A1 southbound exit and follow A1 until the A52 at Barrowby then re-join the A52.
Westbound diversion route not symbol led.
From the A52 junction with the A1 take the northbound and continue on the A1.
Take the exit slip road at Newark and head south on the A46.
Continue on the A46 until you re-join the A52 at Saxondale roundabout.
Police said at 3 pm on Thursday 12 March:
‘We have been called to a report of an HGV having left the road which is now on its side, believed to be due to the high winds. The HGV was carrying 12 tons of empty pallets.
‘The vehicle left Grantham Road on the A52, close to Barrowby.

‘The road has been closed but recovery of the vehicle will not be able to take place until the weather conditions improve.
‘No injuries have been reported.
‘Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where possible.
‘Incident 242 of 12 March refers.’
