Updates: Nottingham road closed after eight-vehicle crash – several seriously injured

A610 Nuthall Road and A6514 Western Boulevard are affected by the incident.

Road reopened at 8:41 pm Tuesday 9 December

Nuthall Road remains closed following a serious RTC earlier this afternoon. Severe delays are expected for some time on Grey 53 and Turquoise Line.

Turquoise 78 and 79/A/B continue to divert along Aspley Lane and Melbourne Road, both ways.

Transport Nottingham | 4:15 pm

Nuthall Road remains CLOSED between Western Boulevard & Aspley Lane.

Western Boulevard no longer has any impacted lane closures due to emergency vehicles having left the scene which is helping traffic flow on the ring road.

Congestion is mostly isolated to Alfreton Road due to traffic wanting to head north-west towards the M1. Nottingham City Council’s Traffic Control Centre is continuing to manage the incident and alleviate congestion as best it can in the immediate area.


4 pm – Roads remain closed – Road closed and very slow traffic due to crash on A610 Nuthall Road both ways from Whitemoor Court to A6514 Western Boulevard. Western Boulevard Southbound is also closed. Ongoing since around Midday. Detour in operation – via local bus routes.

Nuthall Road CLOSED in both directions between Western Boulevard (Inbound) and Aspley Lane (Outbound) by the McDonalds at Bobbers Mill Bridge while emergency services deal with an incident.

Please check your route before you travel ahead of leaving work or for the school run.

Grey 53, 54 towards Clifton are normal route to The Futurist, then right Church Street, continue Alpine Street left Bar Lane, continue Melbourne Road, left Aspley Lane, right Western Boulevard to normal route.

Turquoise 78 and 79 to Strelley or Bulwell are normal route to Bobber’s Mill Bridge, then left Aspley Lane, right Melbourne Road to resume normal route from Hilcot Drive (78) or Nuthall Road (79/A).

Turquoise 78 to City is normal route to the end of Hilcot Drive then right Melbourne Road, left Aspley Lane, right Bobber’s Mill Bridge to normal route.

Turquoise 79/A to City are normal route to Nuthall Road then right Melbourne Road, left Aspley Lane, right Bobber’s Mill Bridge to normal route.

‘We are currently in attendance at a five-vehicle road traffic collision at Nuthall Road, junction of Western Boulevard, Broxtowe.

‘The roads are expected to remain closed for the foreseeable future.

‘Thank you for your patience as we work with our emergency service colleagues to deal with this incident.’
