Video and Pictures : A606 Melton Road still closed after bridge struck by lorry

The A606 remains closed while engineers make the vehicle safe.

The lorry struck the railway bridge over Melton Road near Tollerton this morning at around 6 am.

Police closed the road in both directions.

The vehicle, a curtainsider, has lost the main roof struts and contractors have removed them to make the vehicle safe enough for recovery teams to remove it.

You can see in the video officers on the right of the road with the struts on the roadside.
