A pair of teenage boys have been arrested following reports of two quickfire robbery attempts.
It is believed that three people were ordered to hand over possessions as they walked along a footpath in West Bridgford.
Both incidents reportedly happened on the path, known locally as the ‘Green Line’, near Ludlow Hill Road, at around 6.40pm on Tuesday (29 March).
Two 17-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy are understood to have been approached by two suspects in separate incidents just minute apart.
They then both ran away without anything being taken.
Two boys, aged 14 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.
They remain in police custody.
Detective Constable Rob McGhee, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have arrested two teenage boys in connection with two separate robbery attempts that are understood to have taken place minutes apart on a footpath.
“Robbery is a very serious offence that can leave a lasting mark on people, both from a physical and emotional standpoint, which is why it is so important that we continue to act quickly and decisively to every report we receive.
“If anyone has any information that could assist us with our enquiries in this case, we’d ask that you contact Nottinghamshire Police immediately on 101, quoting incident number 601 of 29 March 2022.”
